Rock out! Here's a couple of clips of the kids (John included!) singing and dancing their little hearts out on our camping trip last weekend! They are really short because they're from my camera, but super cute!
Here's my summer sweethearts...pics of the summer so far! Good Times!

I don't know what I did to her, but today Bella came up to me and said, "Mama, you're making me nuts!" LOL!

Here's a little clip of my Jack doing something he loves...saying NO to his mama, LOL!

Happy Campers!
Last weekend we went camping at Bolsa Chica for three days...John attempted to take the girls out and push them on his surfboard. Two death grips later and they were back on the sand, LOL! I guess it was a little too soon for that! Jack enjoyed the sand immensely and proved his love by licking it every chance he got...yuck! John got in a little surfing and I got to take a looooonnnnng nap, which was much needed! Next weekend we'll be taking the trailer down south to Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado. Stay tuned...

Jack had his 15 month check up today...Can I just say I have to give his pediatrician's MA a gold star...I LOVE LaTonya! She loves my boy so much and grabs him out of my arms for some lovin' the second she see's him. It makes everything so much better when you have medical staff who really "get it." She was talking to me today about how Jack is so amazing and special...he's just Jack...after seeing him so much in his short life, she doesn't see him as Jack with Down Syndrome anymore...she just sees her babe Jack. She had to show him off to everyone in the office today...Did I already say I love this woman?! So great! As for my little man, he is growing steadily...23.2 pounds and 32 inches...he is gaining on Bella! Everything checked out A-OK, which is what I like to hear! Dr. Osburn is also an amazing man...he is soooo good to Jack! While we were waiting for Jack's shots, he came back in with his intern to have her observe "a child with Down Syndrome who is functioning very well." Once again, music to my ears! I love my boy so much...I just want the best life for him...I like days like today...not bad at all. :-)

I just came acrossed this picture of my little B and her friend Euan at Disneyland a couple of months ago. While we were there(and I so wish I would have gotten a shot of it!) , Bella and Euan were walking in front of us holding hands and engrossed in a deep converation about the Haunted Mansion. My friend Shelbie said something to Dianne (Euan's mama) and I like, "Oh my gosh, look at them...can you just see them at 16???" It's true...they are absolutely adorable together...you could just visualize them as teenagers...crazy! I in no way am looking forward to my daughter as a teenager, LOL, but it was a precious little glimpse into the future. I did get this picture of them sharing their popcorn...are they not the cutest?!

Bella Funny

BABY NAMES ON THE BRAIN
OK, I'm at a loss...John's middle name is Grant, which will be our new little babe's name...but a middle name?! Ugggh...I HATE boy names! I do love Jack, I love Grant...ummm, that's about all I can do with the boys. The problem is that there aren't many names that flow with Grant ________Clark. SUGGESTIONS ANYONE? Here's what I have so far...Oh and a big P.S.: My husband is VERY opinionated when it comes to names...so he nixed the first 50 names I came up with , LOL!
  • Grant Clayton Clark
  • Grant Sebastian Clark
  • Grant Caden Clark
  • Grant Grayson Clark
  • IDK?????? Help!!

I am officially an idiot as I got Jack PULLING TO A STAND on my camera, but I turned the camera vertical, and yep, you guessed it, the shot is sideways! But, it is still totally worth watching my lil' man! How proud am I?! He amazes me every day...so cool! Oh, and please feel free to ignore my unfinished bathroom...how embarassing!!!
I know that I posted that we are having a boy! His name will be Grant after my dear hubby's middle name. Can I say how excited we are that this little bundle will be a boy?! I mean, how wonderful for my little man, Jack! These two will be 18 months apart...Jack already has two nurturing little mommies for sisters, and now he will have a playmate and protector with his little bro...we have a cool family, I tell ya! This little baby due in November wasn't planned at all. We thought we were complete, but life has its way of knocking some sense into you, and it is a total blessing! We evened the score...2 boys, 2 girls, and Jack has one more of many family and friends, to support and encourage him through this life. We are so lucky!

Except...with a family of six, I have outgrown my Dodge Ram :-(. After much debate and some serious thought, we shall soon become a mini-van family. Gas prices are UNBELIEVEABLE! It costs me almost $80.00 every time I fill up...now if I had my way, I would get a Dodge Durango, but it will cost me the same to fill up...sooooooo, I never in a zillion years pictured myself this way, but I will now be a mom in a minivan...WOW...I said it out loud! OK, I can do this...I still have a couple months with my truck, but minivan, here I come...life will never be the same...sigh.

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday Daddy

We had such a great day! John turned the big 37! We celebrated with Chocolate Wipeout cake! YUMMY!!!!! The morning started with some surfing for John and then off to the parade we went! We are lucky enough to have some friends who live close, so we were able to park in front of their garage and walk over...200,000 people were downtown! WOW! Bella was dancing in the street and Jack did a good job of not getting too overwhelmed by everything! We left a little early so we wouldn't get hit with all of the crowds of people leaving and went over to have lunch. Our plan was to go over to our friend's house for BBQ and swimming, but we decided that we would go buy a huge waterslide for the kids and BBQ at home...off to find the Banzai Sidewinder Falls we went...do you know that this thing is SOLD OUT everywhere and is being sold on ebay for unbelievable prices...we settled for steaks and sprinklers instead...then off we went back downtown to the beach for the big fireworks show off the pier. The kids all loved it this year and were OUT the second we hit the car after all of the excitement of the day! It was a nice little day! :-)

We're having a...BOY!!!!! Woo hoo!

Sunday, July 01, 2007

LOL, I think we'll get something new from Bella on here every day! Just got back from a Barbeque at some friends' house. As we were walking to the car, John told me how tired he was after having only one beer. Bella was walking behind him and asked, "What did you say Daddy?" John responded, " I said I was tired." Bella responded back to him, "I thought you said something about a beer?" Man she is quick...can't put anything past this child!
Finally posting again...and some Bella-isms!

Oh My! It has been a long time since I posted...since August of last year! Ever since we started Jack's carepage through CHOC, I have posted on that, but I'm going to get back in the swing of things around here. I am going to to continue recording the craziness of the Clark family! If you are ever so interested in life from August until now, you can log into http://www.carepages.com/ and look under JackRyanClark to view his page.

Bella-isms!
When you have a three year old, it's an amusing day every day! Case in point...a few days ago, Bella was chomping on some grapes and she dropped one on the ground. Shaking her head, eyes rolling, she mumbled to herself, "Good one, Bella."

OK, here's another...Bella and I have been arguing lately about her wardrobe. She is obsessed with dresses and skirts and tights...the other day it was about 80 degrees outside and she wanted to wear tights...
Bella: I want to wear tights.
Me: No, it's too hot.
Bella: I want them though.
Me: No
Bella: Why can't I wear tights?
Me: Because...
Bella (in her sassy attitude voice): BECAUSE is NOT an answer!

OK, one more really...Bella is wearing a 4th of July shirt today. It is red with stars on it. She came up to me this morning and said, "Mommy, do you know why I have stars on my shirt? It's because I am a ROCKSTAR!" and she giggled...

Inside, I am laughing all day long at the things that come out of her mouth!
